Family Portraits

Well, this is going to be our first family portrait session to go up on our blog. I'm really excited to post these. We consider our portraits to be Lifestyle Portraits. Whether it be weddings, engagements, seniors or families, we like to show real emotions, real relationships, and real people! So, not all these portraits are going to be the traditional family portrait. This family lives here in Cedar Creek and they are one of the sweetest families I have met yet. They recently adopted their son, Alek, from Russia this past winter and this is their FIRST family portrait together! I feel extremely privileged to have the opportunity to document their family for the first time. I LOVE how they turned out. I hope you all do too!

Let me know what you think and give me a shout if any one would like to take their new family out for some Lifestyle Portraits as well!!! Also, check out our website: www.cedarcreekphoto.com to see more Lifestyle Portraits!

I think this one is adorable!! Look closely to little Alek and the face he is making!

Unity Village Engagement Shoot

Hello All!! Sorry it has been almost a month since I last updated. You all must be anxious to see some of our newest work! Well, with June being the busiest wedding month of the year, we were a little swamped. But we are started to get caught up so I thought I'd let you see what we have been so busy working on. I had the pleasure to photograph Steven and Shanna the last weekend in June. They live in Lee's Summit awfully close to Unity Village, so I had the chance to photograph there again. Being in Olathe, we do not get a lot of opportunities to travel to the unique places on the Missouri side, so this was a lot of fun. My dad and I photographed a wedding at Unity last October and had the thrill to take some of the most beautiful wedding portraits there. Our wedding portfolio on our website has some of that couples photos on display. But this was my first time taking engagements there. BEAUTIFUL!! It was, of course, humid as could be and Shanna and Steven were such sports about the mugginess. This couple, especially Steven were a little uncomfortable at first being in front of the camera. But by the end they were loosened up and taking excellent portraits. I hope everyone enjoys viewing their images!!!
